ACPE student placements available to support Western Sydney projects tackling physical inactivity
WSYD Moving has partnered with The Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) to support community projects across Western Sydney that address physical inactivity and inequity.
Through this partnership, 10 final-year students studying the Bachelor of Physical Activity for Health are available to complete their mandatory placements by contributing up to 150 volunteer hours per student. Placements are designed to directly support projects and programs that aim to improve physical activity participation, access, and health outcomes across Western Sydney
Students can assist in a range of practical areas, including program planning, delivery and facilitation, community engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and resource development. They bring current evidence-based knowledge, practical skills, and a strong interest in working with diverse communities across Western Sydney.
Placements will run from April through to October and can be structured to suit your organisation’s needs, whether delivered in person, remotely, or through a hybrid model.
If your organisation or project could benefit from extra capacity to help deliver or strengthen initiatives tackling inactivity or inequity, expressions of interest are now open.
