Michelle Nolan
Michelle Nolan (BAppSc N&D, MPH, Dip L&M) is Director of Health Promotion at Western Sydney Local Health District, with 25 years in NSW Health driving equity and cultural relevance in population health. After a brief clinical stint, she championed preventive health—leading research and programs in public health nutrition, childhood obesity, breastfeeding promotion, food security, and active, healthy lifestyles for kids in disadvantaged communities.
Her scope now spans healthy built environments, healthy ageing, and smoking and vaping prevention. Michelle is a collaborative leader, strategic partner-builder, and passionate advocate for embedding priority population needs into local and state-wide initiatives. As co-chair of the NSW Health Promotion Leadership Group, she’s committed to empowering teams to deliver innovative, evidence-informed programs that make health equity a reality.
