Michael Hanratty

Michael Hanratty is an avid sport enthusiast and PD/H/PE School Teacher, turned Sport Administrator. With over fifteen years of sport delivery and sport administration experience, specifically in Game Development, Grassroots Club Development and Volunteer management fields, Michael believes in the ability of sport and sporting clubs to enhance social connection, mental and physical health outcomes.

In his current role as Sporting and Community Partnerships Manager, Michael’s role is to support volunteers across 37 sporting clubs and 17 sporting codes within the Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, and Hills Shire Local Government Areas, assisting them in delivering a quality sporting experience for their members. Collaborating with a number of stakeholders such as local council, local sporting associations, and peak sporting bodies, the objective is to get the community moving through the vehicle of sport, resulting in enhanced physical, social and mental wellbeing outcomes for all.
