Melissa Mason
Melissa Mason, BSc (Nutr & Diet), MPH, is a Program Officer at Western Sydney Local Health District’s Centre for Population Health. Mel has led and worked on a range of healthy built environment projects related to housing, active travel, community infrastructure, such as health-promoting libraries, and how they intersect to enhance liveability and wellbeing. She has worked on the Healthy Higher Density Living project with the City of Parramatta since it began in 2017 and played a key role in developing the content of the multi-award winning Healthy Higher Density Living for Families with Children Guide. Mel is actively involved in advocating for the implementation of The Guide’s principles within Council’s planning controls, and evaluation of its impact.
