Cobie Vermeulen, a Church and Community Collaboration Coordinator at Uniting NSW.ACT, is passionate about creating opportunities for connection, strengthening relationships and facilitating collaboration between Uniting services and Uniting Church congregations across NSW.

She brings over two decades of leadership across community development, local government, vocational education and training, as well as sport and leisure in Australia and South Africa. Her experience includes leading multi-site community services and learning centres, establishing student support services, and developing specialised physical activity and gross motor development programs.

Cobie builds partnerships that reduce social isolation and loneliness, strengthen belonging, and create opportunities for intergenerational and cross-cultural connection. Her strengths-based approach recognises the intersection of physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

For Cobie, healthier communities grow through learning, purpose and participation. She holds master’s degrees in Rehabilitation Management and Employee Assistance Programs, with honours in Psychology and Human Movement Studies.
